The Firm’s Frankfurt office opened in 1995, a natural outgrowth of its long-standing work for clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Our German law team was established in 2001 with the arrival of two leading German lawyers as partners of the Firm, and the Frankfurt legal staff now comprises German, U.S. and dual-qualified lawyers. The recognized strength of our German law team bolsters our position as a key player in the German legal market.

Our Frankfurt-based lawyers offer advice on:

  • Capital Markets/Securities
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (including Private Equity)
  • Financings (including Acquisition Finance and Restructuring advice)

The Frankfurt team advises industrial companies, private equity and other investors and financial institutions on capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions (public and private, national and international), restructuring and complex acquisition finance transactions and general corporate law questions.

The Frankfurt office's small size allows an integrated working environment and office culture. Associates and partners work closely with close client and transaction contacts from the very beginning of every relationship. Further, we are part of an integrated European advisory practice that combines the team spirit and hands-on approach of a small entity with the prowess and the infrastructure of a worldwide market leader.

From day one, associates in the Frankfurt office can expect exceptionally challenging tasks and a high degree of responsibility, complemented by internal and external training sessions and seminars.

We are actively recruiting at the entry level and are open to applications from lawyers with professional experience.

Proficiency in German is required.

German-Qualified Lawyers
We are actively recruiting German-qualified lawyers to join our expanding German law practice in Frankfurt. Applicants for German associate positions must have completed the second Staatsexamen. A German doctorate degree and/or an LL.M. degree is desirable but not essential. German lawyers with an LL.M. degree may also be given the opportunity to work in our New York or London offices prior to joining the Frankfurt office.

Additionally, every year we give about 10 Law Clerks/Referendaren (m/w) and Trainee Lawyers/Wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeitern (m/w) and an equal number of Interns / Praktikanten (m/w) the opportunity to get to know us before they embark on their professional careers.

Applicants for U.S. associate positions must be enrolled in or have successfully completed a U.S. J.D. or U.S. LL.M. program.
