The Firm offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support lawyers throughout all stages of their lives and careers. Below is a general benefits overview.

Medical Plan
Two medical plan options for U.S. lawyers and one plan for non-U.S. lawyers, with immediate eligibility for lawyers and eligible dependents. All plans offer access to comprehensive coverage, in-network preventive care covered at 100 percent, and no lifetime maximums. Plans do not require a primary care physician (PCP) or referrals for specialists.

Dental Plan
Two network options. Includes an orthodontia benefit.

Vision Plan
Coverage of annual routine eye exam and may receive additional discounts.

Prescription Drug Benefit
Automatic enrollment under the medical plan. Co-payments are determined by the type of medication and whether the prescription is filled at a retail pharmacy or through the mail-order program.

Flexible Spending Accounts
Two Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): HealthCare FSA allows lawyers to set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible healthcare expenses; Dependent Care FSA allows lawyers to set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible day care expenses incurred for their eligible dependents’ care while at work.

Commuter Benefits Program
Lawyers in New York, Washington, D.C., and Palo Alto may set aside money to pay for eligible commuter and parking expenses on a pre-tax basis.

Short-Term Disability (STD) Coverage
Income replacement for up to 26 weeks if eligible lawyers are unable to work because of a disabling illness or injury.

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Coverage
Lawyers may be eligible for coverage if they are still disabled when STD coverage expires.  Plan is Firm-paid and provides 50 percent of base monthly earnings subject to a maximum. Supplemental LTD is available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents. May request a quote for a portable individual policy. Must apply for coverage while in the U.S.

Survivor Protection
Coverage provided to lawyers at no cost.  Basic Term Life covers three-times base annual salary, up to USD 2,000,000. Business Travel Accident Insurance covers up to USD 1,500,000. Optional life and accident insurance plans available to cover employee, spouse, and eligible children, and assist with financial responsibilities in the event of a death or serious injury.

Voluntary Long Term Care Insurance
Insurance helps protect savings and assets, maintain choice and options of care, and relieve family from burden of care.

Identity Fraud Expense Reimbursement Coverage
Reimbursement coverage of associates and eligible family members for expenses incurred as a direct result of identity fraud, subject to limitations.

Retirement Plan
Associates may be eligible for a savings plan offering three types of 401(k) contributions and investment options.

Immigration Assistance
Assistance provided to lawyers who will require sponsorship for a work visa.

Family Matters
  • Paid leave for parents with full salary following childbirth or adoption.
  • After one year of service, eligibility for reimbursement of $7,500 of adoption­-related expenses, including travel.
  • Flexible work arrangements.
  • Back-up child-care center and child-care referral service (New York, Washington, D.C., and Palo Alto).
