More than 25 graduates of the University of Chicago Law School currently practice at Sullivan & Cromwell. Their backgrounds, practice areas and interests are diverse—they attended 22 different undergraduate schools; practice in our Appellate Litigation, Capital Markets, Criminal Defense and Investigations, Financial Services, IP Litigation, M&A, Real Estate, Securities, and Securities Litigation groups; are resident in seven of our offices in the U.S. and abroad; and speak 7 languages, including Hebrew and Mandarin.
Partners Ari Blaut, Jake Croke and Camille Orme (University of Chicago ’00) head our recruiting efforts at UChicago Law. Ari is a partner in the Firm’s Finance and Restructuring Group and is co-head of the Firm’s U.S. Credit & Leveraged Finance practice. Jake, a partner in the Firm's Litigation Group, represents corporate and individual clients in a wide range of civil litigations and regulatory investigations. Camille, a member of the Firm’s Financial Services Group, serves as senior adviser to S&C’s Women’s Initiative Committee and as an Associate Development Partner for the Firm's Financial Services Group.
In addition to becoming partners at S&C, UChicago Law alumni who join the Firm after law school go on to pursue a range of prestigious opportunities. S&C alumni who attended the University of Chicago Law School currently work in government (including as a judge of the U.S. Tax Court), investment banking, and academia, as well as in management positions for Fortune 500 companies.
