S&C highly values the judicial clerkship experience. We believe that a clerkship is a singular learning experience, affording a comprehensive overview of the litigation process, the opportunity to practice drafting skills in a demanding environment, and a broad exposure to many different areas of the law. Moreover, the variety and diversity of the work at S&C dovetail exceedingly well with the clerkship experience.
Lawyers from all four of our practice groups—litigation, general practice, estates and personal, and tax—started their careers as judicial clerks. In fact, more than 140 of our lawyers have clerked at all levels of the federal and state courts. This section highlights some of our lawyers and their personal career paths, shares some recent news about our former clerks—including S&C alumni—and allows you to search all of our clerks by court. We hope that this information will give you a better sense of the opportunities available to judicial clerks at S&C, as well as provide you with a deeper understanding of the nature of our practice, our deep capabilities, and the culture of the Firm.
