uUniversity of Texas School of Law alumni at Sullivan & Cromwell practice within a broad range of areas under our General Practice (corporate), Litigation and Estates and Personal groups. S&C partner Bob Sacks (Texas Law ’82) is the managing partner of our Los Angeles office and is responsible for the Firm’s litigation practice on the West Coast. He has extensive experience in complex business disputes of all types.
The practice areas of Texas Law associates at S&C include antitrust, appellate litigation, capital markets, criminal defense and investigations, financial services, intellectual property litigation, mergers and acquisitions and securities litigation. In addition, several Texas Law alumni at the Firm are actively engaged in our pro bono practice; recent matters include obtaining asylum for an ethnic Hazara woman who worked for the U.S. consulate in Karachi, briefing the appeal of a client’s pro se petition for a writ of habeas corpus, and representing transgendered individuals seeking name changes.
In addition to becoming partners at the Firm, Texas Law alumni who join S&C go on to pursue a range of prestigious opportunities.
