The Tokyo office was established in 1987 and has developed a leading reputation in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and financial regulatory matters.

Our Tokyo office opened promptly after the change in Japanese regulations allowing foreign lawyers to establish offices in Japan. We are located in the Otemachi/Marunouchi area, steps away from the Tokyo Station and the Imperial Palace grounds. This is the financial center of Tokyo, home to many of Japan’s largest financial institutions and corporations, as well as a number of leading foreign firms.

We maintain a small and efficient office of nine lawyers, and thus the relationships among our lawyers are professional and friendly.

The office is interested in U.S.-qualified lawyers directly out of law school or with experience in one or more of the following areas: securities, M&A and project finance.

Practice Areas

  • Corporate Finance
